COVID-19 UPDATE: NEW EXECUTIVE ORDER FROM GOVERNOR MURPHY
ANNOUNCED SATURDAY, APRIL 11, 2020
ATTENTION NJ TRANSIT EMPLOYEES
Today, Governor Murphy issued Executive Order No. 125 introducing the following measures regarding NJ TRANSIT & Private Carrier services.
NJ TRANSIT must limit capacity on all trains, buses, light rail vehicles, and paratransit vehicles to 50 percent of their maximum. The 50 percent limit, includes capacity with standees on buses. This applies to Private Carrier bus operators as well.
NJ TRANSIT must supply frontline employees with gloves and face coverings. Since March 1, we have distributed more than 600,000 pairs of gloves and 162,000 masks and we will continue to distribute these resources throughout the system for frontline employees.

Executive Order No. 125 will be effective Monday April 13 at 8 p.m.
